Green Infrastructure Plan (2011)

As set out in the adopted Core Strategy (Core Policy 4: Environment), the Borough Council intends to develop Green Infrastructure (GI) networks in the urban and rural areas. In order to do so, it needs to develop an evidence base to support the potential allocation of sites in the Town Centres Area Action Plan (TCAAP) and Allocations DPD as well as other policies in the Development Management Policies DPD.
A Green Infrastructure Plan is being prepared to form this evidence base, drawing together existing assets and highlighting any issues or deficiencies, and then setting out options for delivery through the DPD policies.
The Borough Council is inviting responses to this public consultation, which will run from Tuesday 9 August to Friday 30 September 2011.
